Program Director

Mónica Peralta, MD (she/her)
Dr. Mónica Peralta is a physician and certified counselor specializing in intuitive eating, mindful eating, and body liberation. Based in Nicaragua, she brings extensive expertise to her practice, supported by a postgraduate degree in clinical nutrition and diabetes. With a steadfast commitment to patient well-being, Dr. Peralta fosters a nurturing environment, prioritizing a weight-inclusive approach in direct patient care. Her advocacy work involves raising awareness with scientific evidence on how weight stigma and the pathologization of bodies causes systemic discrimination and oppression.

Jessica Rosenblum is an MD/MPH candidate at Tufts University School of Medicine (class of 2027). She received her B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis, where
she studied Anthropology/Global Health and French. Prior to medical school, Jessica worked as a health policy research associate at Mathematica in Washington, DC, where her work focused on reproductive health, Medicaid, and health equity.
Jessica currently serves as the Director of Medical Students for Size Inclusivity (MSSI) and previously co-founded the Tufts chapter of MSSI. She has contributed to several size-inclusive initiatives in medical education, research, and advocacy. Currently, Jessica is applying to family medicine residency program.
